Tithnahamu Mishamaim
Every life has an impact on this world and Rabbi Eliezer Lippman Dubrawsky, OBM was one of them.
We are so deeply sorry for your loss, he was a truly special person, kind and considerate and I shall never forget the moments we shared.
A few years back I had the pleasure of meeting Rabbi Lipa Dubrawsky, OBM. On various occasions when I met him, he always welcomed me with his gracious smile and attentive presence. Approximately 12 years ago my son Paeir was going to Montreal to participate in the National Bible Contest. I went to the Chabad office to ask if they could contribute towards the cost of travel to Montreal to attend the contest. At that time, Chabad was apparently having some financial issues. On my way out I saw Rabbi Dubrawsky, OBM in the hallway and explained the situation such as it was. With no hesitation whatsoever he contributed $160.00 of his own money towards the trip and conveyed good wishes and success to my son . A year later when I met Rabbi Dubrawsky, OBM I informed him that Paeir had reached the International Bible Contest in Jerusalem and once again he gave me a big hug and his eyes were shining with happiness.
On Simchat Torah 2004 when celebrating at Chabad House I saw Rabbi Dubrawsky, OBM and he asked me about Paeir and how he was doing. I told him then that Paeir was making Aliyah and he would be studying at Yeshiva Shilo in Israel. Rabbi Dubrawsky turned towards Paeir and hugged him and told him " You will be a Talmid Chacham".
May Rabbi Eliezer L. Dubrawsky, OBM continue to live on through the seeds of kindness he planted in each one of us.
With heartfelt condolences and kindest thoughts in your time of sorrow.
