PLEASE POST IN BLOG ACCORDINGLY. THANK YOU

Hearing the tragic news of Rabbi Dubrawsky's passing z'l threw me into an emotional shock of denial, sadness, anger, reflection and questioning. Why has a man of His stature, deemed to be physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually whole, departed this world in the blink of an eye ahead of its years?

As always, no answers come when tragedies strike us. His loss is monumental for his family, his community and Am Israel, because his living truly shed light onto the world, touched the souls of those he encountered praying, teaching, counselling or simply saying hello in a Rabbi Dubrawski z'l kind of way.

I met with Rabbi Dubrawski z'l many times during a very critical time of my life. He listened with his ears, his mind, his eyes and his soul. He responded in short sentences, used words that had weight that need to be digested and internalized some of which are imprinted in my memory. His presence alone created a sacred space for me, of safety, caring, wisdom and shalom.

I continue grieving his loss, with a sense of gratitude for having had the blessing to come across an unforgettable man whose wholeness was contagious, whose presence imbued a sense of holiness, whose eyes spoke of love, compassion and truth. Out of my despair for more answers, I came up with a visual image of a Godly man with deep blue eyes whose time in this world served a sacred purpose, whose light may have been too bright to dwell in the mundane, whose soul was called back home to dwell next to The Divine.

Our sincere condolences for the whole Dubrawski's family for a loss of a true mensch, tzadick and humble man of unmeasurable worth.
