On Behalf of our family, we are saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Rabbi Lipa Dubrowsky. While we were not immediately part of his community, we were always inspired and impressed by his inclusiveness and dedication to Jewish life. In our household, the spirit of Yiddish is very much alive along with Hebrew. We always cherished those occasions when Rabbi Dubrowsky recognized and made sense of the intertwining of these languages and their traditions. It is without a doubt that when we listened to him, Rabbi Dubrowsky always heightened our spirituality in our day-to-days that were largely bound by secular routines.
We also took note of Rabbi Dubowsky as a family man. We were able to learn from the love he bestowed upon his immediate family and extended to members of the larger community. He had a phenomenal respect for humankind. We shall miss him.
Respectfully,
Haya and Tim Newman and family
