In Memory of Our Beloved Rabbi Dubrawsky

It is with great sadness, shock and disbelief we write these words to express what Rabbi Dubrawsky means to us.

We met Rabbi Lipa and Dena 15 years ago in a couples group class. From the beginning we were amazed how he made Torah and its teachings relevant to us. Rabbi Lipa taught us how to incorporate Jewish values into our every day life so that we could become better spouses, parents, Jews and human beings.

We feel so grateful and privileged that our relationship with Rabbi Lipa and Dena developed into an incredible bond and friendship which extended to their whole family.

We will forever cherish the Shabbos, Yom Tov meals and  other celebrations in the Dubrawsky home. The teachings they transmitted  would come alive in their home and readily apparent in how the children interacted with their guests.

Rabbi Dubrawsky exemplifies to us the highest human virtues that one can achieve. He taught us by "walking the talk."   He felt love for every Jew. He never spoke a bad word about a person, was respectful, kind, compassionate and always put other peoples needs ahead of his own. He combined these traits with humour, warmth and conviction which made every contact with him a special and holy experience.

Every concern that we expressed to Rabbi Dubrawsky, he addressed with the greatest clarity, respect and sensitivity. He provided us with practical solutions, hope and comfort.

We feel blessed to have been in Rabbi Dubrawsky's presence all these years. No words can adequately express our sense of loss and the void in our lives without him.

The imprint he has left on us will continue to guide and inspire us for the rest of our lives.

We pray that Hashem give Dena and her family strength and comfort during this difficult time.

Love Gabriel and Shirley Hirsch and family
